Top Secret Drum Corps
Top Secret is a group of 25 talented drummers from Basel, Switzerland. Their popularity grew after playing at the Edinburg Military Tattoo in 2003. They are now one of the most sought after drumming groups.
The city of Basel, from which the Top Secret Drum Corps hails, is rich in drumming history. It dates back to the Middle Ages and the militaristic drumming of Swiss soldiers. Basel is said to have over 3,000 drummers playing throughout the city at festivals and parades.
So what is unique about Top Secret? For one thing their upbeat drumming style is much different than others who perform the more traditional marching style of Basel. Top Secret also incorporates drum stick juggling, flag twirling, and dueling drums into their shows.
Top secrets members are a diverse group of bankers, civil servants, factory workers, and more. The group has played all over the world from Europe to South Africa and China.
